Direct ChassisLink Inc. (DCLI) is seeking a Chassis Mechanic to perform mechanical repairs and inspections in a depot setting, tackling brakes, wheels, and structural components.

The role requires 2+ years in trailer/chassis mechanics, FMCSA and brake certifications, welding skills, and the ability to work independently in a shop with some mobile repairs. The company offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years' experience in trailer/chassis mechanics.
• FMCSA and brake certifications required.
• Welding MIG/ARC and torch use.
• Knowledge of AAR, IICL and DOT rules.
• Ability to work in a shop environment with potential mobile repairs.
• Able to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and work-order apps.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all chassis defects
• Repair ABS, air brake systems, wheels end, and structural assemblies
• Welding and fabrication of chassis when required
• Log repairs with mobile app and document work orders

Skills

2+ years experience in trailer/chassis

FMCSA brake certifications

Welding MIG/ARC welding

Knowledge of AAR, IICL, DOT rules

Work independently

Excellent communication skills

Read/interpret safety documents
