Manpower Group (USA) is seeking a Chassis Engineer to join our client’s engineering team in Foster City, CA. The role focuses on designing and evaluating chassis systems, with CATIA V6 driving the prototyping and documentation process.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical engineering degree, experience in vehicle chassis design, and strong collaboration skills to coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams on development and delivery.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CATIA V6 and 2D drawings with GD&T.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; advanced degrees are a plus.
• Experience in strut, air spring, damper design.
• Understanding of vehicle chassis systems and hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Strong communication and testing experience for vehicle development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop prototype hardware and electromechanical systems using CATIA V6.
• Create detailed 2D drawings for fabrication and assembly with GD&T.
• Evaluate mechanical assemblies for static, dynamic, structural, and thermal performance.
• Lead component testing and analysis to inform design improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to manage design, documentation, and delivery of vehicle components.

Pay Range: $82-$87/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Design and develop prototype hardware and electromechanical systems using CAD tools such as CATIA V6.
• Create detailed 2D drawings for fabrication and assembly, ensuring precision and clarity.
• Evaluate mechanical assemblies for static, dynamic, structural, and thermal-mechanical performance metrics.
• Lead component testing and characterization, developing innovative testing methods and analyzing data to inform design improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to manage design, documentation, and delivery of vehicle components.

What's Needed?

• Proficiency in CAD tools, especially CATIA V6, with experience in creating 2D drawings including GD&T.
