Job summary

Cloudrover in Evans, GA is seeking a Chassis Design Engineer for passenger vehicles using Creo. You will design chassis subsystems, including suspension components, engine cradles, and mounting structures, with an emphasis on GD&T and manufacturing readiness.

Create 3D models and 2D drawings, perform packaging studies, and coordinate with CAE and testing teams to ensure robust, producible designs. Required: 5–7 years of chassis experience and Creo expertise; familiarity with sheet metal, welded

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of chassis or structural design experience in passenger vehicles.
• Expert-level Creo (preferably V6.0).
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal and welded structures.
• Proficiency in GD&T, DFM/DFA, and design release process.
• Understanding of AIS, ECE, FMVSS regulations - preferable.
• Experience with vehicle dynamics, chassis load cases, and test feedback implementation.
• Familiar with CAE correlation, tolerance stack-up, and failure root cause analysis.
• Opportunity to use Windchill PLM (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop chassis subsystems such as Front and rear suspension members (control arms, subframes, knuckles).
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings with Creo, ensuring GD&T and manufacturing readiness.
• Perform vehicle packaging studies for chassis integration.
• Ensure designs meet the requirements in coordination with CAE and testing teams.
• Collaborate with internal & cross-functional teams to provide efficient design against manufacturability.
• Maintain design documentation and change control through PLM tools such as Windchill (Optional).

• Design and develop chassis subsystems such as:
• Front and rear suspension members (control arms, subframes, knuckles)
• Engine cradles, torsion beams, and axle brackets
• Mounting structures for steering, braking, and powertrain
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings with Creo, ensuring GD&T and manufacturing readiness.
• Perform vehicle packaging studies for chassis integration
• Ensure designs meet the requirements in coordination with CAE and testing teams.
• Collaborate with internal & cross-functional teams to provide efficient design against manufacturability.
• Maintain design documentation and change control through PLM tools such as Windchill (Optional, nice to have)
