Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our full-time school-based team in Ham Lake, MN. You will support students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs and help them achieve academic and personal success.

You will collaborate with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to create individualized learning experiences that foster growth and achievement in an inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and support staff.
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs based on student needs and goals.
• Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse disabilities.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain progress documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families about goals.
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
• Implement evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies.
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching license
• Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and support staff

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs and goals
