Job summary

NOLA Public Schools seeks a Director of School Accountability to oversee the CSAF framework, annual reviews, and ongoing monitoring of charter school performance in New Orleans. You will manage relationships with charter operators and communicate with leaders, parents, and other stakeholders while ensuring compliance with district policies and state law.

Success requires experience in charter schools, strong analytical and leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Public Policy, or similar field required
• Master’s Degree in related field strongly preferred
• Minimum of three years of professional experience required
• Work with or in charter schools strongly preferred
• Experience in school leadership (teacher leadership, administration, or principal) preferred
• Knowledge of Louisiana Charter School policy and law strongly preferred
• Knowledge of state and national best practices in charter school authorization strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills; ability to interact tactfully with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency with Windows, Word, Excel; ability to utilize financial management software

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual reviews and ongoing monitoring of CSAF framework
• Manage day-to-day relationships with a caseload of charter schools
• Communicate effectively with charter school leaders, parents, and stakeholders
• Navigate compliance issues and conduct school visits as needed
• Support charter authorization and renewal processes
• Collaborate with Legal, School Improvement, and other departments to ensure policy alignment
