Job description

TSS is partnering with a healthcare distribution center out of Port Washington, NY, to hire a direct hire, full-time, local remote Chargeback Manager.

Reporting to the COO, this newly formed role as a Chargeback Manager is responsible for overseeing the chargeback process, ensuring accurate and timely submission and reconciliation of manufacturer chargebacks in compliance with contract terms and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Eventually will build and supervise a very small team of chargeback analysts or specialists.
  • Manage the end-to-end chargeback process, including submission, tracking, validation, and reconciliation of chargebacks to drug manufacturers.
  • Ensure compliance with wholesaler agreements, GPO contracts, and manufacturer pricing programs (including AMP, 340B, and Medicaid pricing implications).
  • Oversee the accuracy of contract pricing, membership eligibility, and product eligibility in chargeback submissions.
  • Analyze chargeback rejections and discrepancies; coordinate with internal teams and manufacturers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Work closely with accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales, and IT departments to ensure data integrity and resolution of chargeback-related issues.
  • Maintain and improve processes for monitoring chargeback aging, recoveries, and KPIs.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on chargeback performance, outstanding balances, and issue resolution metrics to senior leadership.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations (e.g., Medicaid rebate programs, drug pricing transparency laws) that impact chargeback procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Must be local remote to the office location. A resident of New York and New Jersey is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Strong understanding of medication contracts, pricing structures, and chargeback regulations. Including 340B and GPO contracts knowledge.
  • 5+ years of experience in chargebacks, revenue cycle management within medical, drug, or healthcare distribution is required.
  • 3+ years of proficiency with NetSuite or other ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $120,000-$140,000yr DOE. Health benefits include: Medical, Vision, and Dental, PTO, paid sick leave, paid holidays, free parking, and more!
