JOB TITLE: Chargeback and Dispute Manager

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Contract-to-Hire

COMPENSATION: $50–$52.88/hr

SUMMARY:

A leading organization in the financial services sector is seeking an experienced Chargeback and Dispute Manager to oversee analytics and insights related to payment disputes and chargebacks. This position will be responsible for leading a team dedicated to analyzing chargeback trends, maintaining compliance with card network rules, and delivering actionable data strategies that influence business operations. This role will also spearhead initiatives focused on improving visibility into risk-related performance through advanced reporting tools and collaborative stakeholder engagement.

The preferred candidate has direct experience managing chargeback processes, particularly with Mastercard and Visa, and has led teams in similar environments. The ability to navigate network rules, leverage data tools, and influence operational decision-making is essential.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Visa and Mastercard chargeback/dispute procedures
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics and statistical modeling in a business environment
• Strong proficiency with Power BI
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Deep technical knowledge in data architecture and data integration (minimum 5 years)
• Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and drive strategy
• Experience mentoring or training others in data analysis is highly desirable

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a team focused on transforming chargeback and dispute data into meaningful business insights
• Work closely with stakeholders across risk management and other departments to identify business priorities
• Develop strategies and dashboards to centralize data and improve performance visibility
• Drive the design and deployment of analytics solutions to track dispute trends, operational KPIs, and financial outcomes
• Create and manage a unified reporting portal to enhance enterprise-wide decision-making
• Oversee master data architecture and streamline data integration processes across platforms
• Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to support evolving business intelligence needs
• Ensure analysis translates to measurable strategies and contributes to business growth and efficiency
• Facilitate reporting standards and forecasting models that align with operational goals
• Identify and recommend process improvements related to chargeback handling and overall risk mitigation
