Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis is seeking a seasoned registered nurse to join a patient care unit on a designated shift, delivering direct nursing care and serving as a clinical resource to nursing and support staff.

You will assess patients, plan and evaluate care, coordinate with the interprofessional team, and support evidence-based practice to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction across the transition from hospital to ambulatory settings.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (RN).
• 2–5 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates identification and resolution of gaps in care from hospitalization, at discharge, and into ambulatory care.
• Leads development and implementation of complex plans of care with defined goals.
• Champions evidence-based practice and supports practice changes based on new knowledge.
• Analyzes gaps in practice standards and promotes safe patient care and experience.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
