Job summary

Memorial Hospital of Gardena in Gardena, CA is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse I for full-time days. The role oversees nursing care on an assigned unit, leads a multidisciplinary team, and supports staff development to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. 12-hour shifts with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience preferred in the area applied for.
• In-depth knowledge of best practices in area/specialty applied for.
• Adaptable to changing work schedules and patient needs.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a member of the multidisciplinary team to plan patient care, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
• Organizes, prioritizes, and delegates unit workflow.
• Manages unit crises by coordinating and implementing solutions.
• Participates in the staff evaluation process by providing feedback on staff performance.
• Assists management in ensuring compliance with organizational policies, standards, regulations, and professional standards.
