Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse to lead nursing care on the unit, basing decisions on theoretical concepts and standards of practice. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include coordinating shifts, ensuring patient safety, and mentoring staff while maintaining compliance with Mercy's policies. BLS/ACLS and state licensure are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing with ADN, diploma, or BSN.
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification required; multiple critical care certs may be needed.
• ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC are commonly required or pursued within department timelines.
• Other unit specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per standards.
• Coordinate unit activities and lead shifts as Charge RN.
• Mentor and supervise nursing staff while ensuring patient safety and quality care.
