Job summary

Walworth County Care Center in South Dakota is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse (RN) to assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day operations of the nursing service. You will help develop policies, coordinate resident care, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The role requires a Nursing Degree and an active SD RN license, plus at least 2 years of supervisory health-care experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must have a current, active Registered Nurse license in South Dakota.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations.
• Develop and maintain nursing service policies, procedures, and objectives.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident care areas to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in performance evaluations and quality assurance activities for the nursing department.
• Schedule staff, assign duties, and supervise licensed nurses and CNAs.
• Attend committees and coordinate care plans and discharge planning as required.
