Job summary

Saint Joseph East in Lexington, KY seeks a Charge Nurse to lead a team of frontline nurses in acute care. You will advocate for nurses and patients, ensuring high-quality care and patient safety while supporting your team to reach their full potential.

In this role you’ll communicate clearly, mentor colleagues, manage department needs on the floor, and collaborate with social work, care coordination, PT/OT, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of Kentucky; BLS; ACLS within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred: BSN and 2 years RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and teammate role within the department.
• Ensure care delivery excellence for patients.
• Engage with the floor; connect with nurses, patients, families.
• Mentor team members and share knowledge.
