Saint Joseph Hospital - Lexington is seeking a Charge RN to oversee a department of frontline nurses and drive patient care excellence. You will guide staff, advocate for colleagues, and align unit performance with operational goals while maintaining accountability and confident communication in tough conversations.

The role requires a nursing degree, Kentucky RN license, CPR certification, and at least 2 years of RN experience.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

This position is eligible for up to a $25,000 sign-on bonus AND up to $24,000 Student Loan Assistance

As a Charge RN, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care, LTC, or nursing homes adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Every day you will advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

• Provides direct supervision of personnel practicing on Nursing Units, makes patient care assignments, evaluates assignments, facilitates patient throughout, and directly observes staff performance on their assigned shift.
• Proactively matches existing resources seeking ways to provide patient care that supports staff and maintains a therapeutic environment.
• Monitors productivity and assures that staffing and resources are aligned with patient care needs.

Pay Range

$33.84 - $50.34 /hour
