Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM seeks a day shift, full-time IMC Charge Nurse to lead nursing care in the unit. You will oversee patient flow, staff coordination, and adherence to policies and patient safety standards to ensure high-quality care. Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and relocation assistance.

Required: NM RN license or compact, Associate degree or Diploma of Nursing, and BLS. Preferred: BSN and clinical specialty certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate degree or Diploma of Nursing.
• One (1) year of Charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting OR more than one year of clinical or management experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• The Charge RN is responsible and accountable for the practice of Professional Nursing, including the nursing management of the patient and staff of assigned area in his/her charge.
• Manages efficient patient flow, appropriate use of supplies and other operational functions.
• Collaborates with the unit managers and/or directors in developing and revising unit policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Serves as departmental liaison and first line of contact with patients, providers and staff.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
