Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for a full-time day shift. The position involves three 12-hour shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30am to 7:00pm, with on-call responsibilities.

The Charge Nurse will lead clinical practice, mentor staff, and deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care in a dynamic environment. Applicants should be licensed in Texas with BLS certification and have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with leadership capability.

Qualifications

• RN with Texas license and BLS certification.
• Minimum 24 months of clinical nursing experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Graduate of an approved education program as required for credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach department staff to maintain high standards of clinical practice.
• Provide nursing care to a diverse patient population and coordinate care with interprofessional teams.
