Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a Charge Nurse for the 5 South Medical/Surgical unit in Des Moines, IA. This full-time, 12-hour day shift role supports acutely ill adult patients and partners with Virtual Nursing to deliver patient-centered care.

You will lead care planning, collaborate with the care team, and mentor colleagues while upholding high standards of safety and quality, contributing to a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Iowa RN license (or Illinois RN license if applicable).
• BLS required within 3 months of hire.
• ACLS required within 3 months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Description: Join MercyOne's 5 South Team as a Charge Nurse! 5 South is a 40-bed Medical/Surgical unit that cares for acutely ill adult patients with a wide range of conditions, including: Urology Nephrology Trauma Colorectal Surgery General Medical Conditions This fast-paced, collaborative unit offers nurses the opportunity to build a strong clinical foundation while gaining experience across multiple specialties. Our team partners with Virtual Nursing to provide innovative, patient-centered care and support bedside nurses.
