Job summary

Wellpath in Florida seeks a Charge Registered Nurse to oversee the total health care delivery system in the assigned nursing unit, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, goal setting, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. You will supervise patient teaching, ensure staff perform only qualified tasks, and maintain a professional atmosphere.

Requires RN license in the state, CPR certification, and prefer at least one year of clinical experience; Wellpath offers ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Prefer a minimum of one-year clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the total health care delivery system in the assigned unit, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure, and coordinating patient care with other departments.
• Monitoring nursing service, maintaining records, and identifying potential problems, proposing corrective actions as needed.
• Assisting with staff orientation, training, and evaluations, and coordinating staffing levels to meet contractual requirements.
• Ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and appearance of the unit and maintaining appropriate levels of medical equipment and supplies.
• Maintaining a professional atmosphere and attending monthly staff meetings as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
