Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, NJ is seeking a Night Shift Charge Nurse for the Psychiatric Unit to oversee delivery of safe, quality nursing care and regulatory compliance.

This role provides leadership, mentorship, and support to staff, with focus on patient-centered care and teamwork in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.

Formación

• An associate’s degree in nursing is required.
• Active and current New Jersey RN license is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Preferred: 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience with prior charge or lead nursing experience.

Responsibilities:

The Charge Nurse—Psychiatric Unit will oversee the delivery of optimal, safe, quality nursing care and regulatory compliance while providing leadership to staff by being an effective resource, role model, mentor, and change agent.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• An associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Active and current New Jersey Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• At least 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, prior Charge or Lead nursing experience.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
