The role provides daily oversight of nursing operations, supports adherence to clinical standards, coordinates care across face-to-face, phone and virtual visits, and mentors staff through training and seminars.

Position Purpose

Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to lead clinical staff and support high‑quality, patient-centered care. This role provides daily oversight of nursing operations, ensures adherence to clinical standards, and contributes to excellence in care coordination-especially for vulnerable and underserved populations.

What You Will Do

• Lead and organize clinical teams including RNs, LPNs, and CMAs.
• Support clinical leaders in driving quality outcomes, workflow efficiency, and process improvement.
• Provide direct patient care when staffing needs arise.
• Oversee medication, equipment, and supply inventory.

• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols such as triage workflow, medication refill processes, and in‑basket management.
• Coordinate care through face‑to‑face, phone, and virtual patient interactions.
• Triage acute patient needs and implement individualized care plans.
• Support program oversight including Vaccines for Children (VFC/AVP), chronic disease management, community partnerships, and serving as a preceptor for nursing students.
• Represent nursing staff in communication with leadership regarding unit needs and priorities.
