Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Charge Radiology Technologist for a full-time evening shift (4) 10-hour shifts. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment in addition to the benefits package.

The role includes exam workflow leadership, imaging exams per physician orders, and collaboration across departments while maintaining ALARA safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Oregon Radiographer License upon hire, Or
  • Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
  • National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Charge responsibilities including exam workflow, staff training, and addressing equipment and safety concerns.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments within the facility.
  • Perform imaging examinations according to physicians' orders using a variety of imaging equipment, considering patient age and factors, and applying ALARA principles.

Job description

Charge Radiology Technologist at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.
Full-Time/Evening Shift - (4) 10 Hour shifts

$6,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

This Radiologic Technologist has shift charge responsibilities including exam workflow, staff training, addressing equipment and safety concerns, coordinating and collaborating with multiple departments within the facility. In addition, the technologist performs imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patients unique and/or age-related needs. Utilizes clinical knowledge and judgment in regard for proper positioning factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high-quality images. Performs all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
