Northwest Healthcare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24-hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center, and various outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Radiology Department at NWHC provides outpatient and emergency services, equipped with DR & PACS technology. Our patients range from infants to late adulthood. Digital mammography performs screening, diagnostic, and follow-up services. Diagnostic Radiology offers same-day service.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in general radiology on adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control. Assists staff technologists in prioritizing and solving patient care or imaging issues, serving as a resource. Delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations. Assumes supervisor responsibilities in their absence. Assists in developing and training students and new employees, providing ongoing mentorship.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares patients and equipment for procedures, informing patients with high customer service and professionalism.
2. Performs radiographic examinations independently, including on-call, portable exams, and other assigned tasks.
3. Manages shift operations, including workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and adjusts priorities as needed. Enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.
4. Serves as a clinical resource and expert for technologists, assisting with difficult exams and mentoring.
5. Acts as a clinical liaison between the team and leadership, ensuring proper communication and escalation.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Associate Degree or Trade School Equivalent

Experience

• 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience

• No Experience required

Licenses & Certifications

• IEMA - Illinois only, excluding MRI
• Radiology Technologist - Registered

Preferred Requirements

Experience

• 5-10 years

Licenses & Certifications

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
