Job summary

Sycamorespring of Miamisburg is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to assist the Nursing supervisor with total patient care within the unit during weekend and day shifts from 7a to 7p. The role includes supervising STNAs, following physician orders, and ensuring safety and quality of care on the unit.

The position offers a base hourly rate of $34–$40 depending on experience and licensure, with potential shift differentials for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid Nursing license in the state where the facility is located.
• Experience with elderly care and unit management.
• Ability to work weekends and day shifts.
• Good physical and mental health.
• Patient advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out administrative and patient care duties as part of their shift responsibilities.
• Supervises and assumes responsibility for the actions and care delivered by the STNA’s.
• Abides by department policies and procedures and interprets them to personnel, medical staff, patients and the public.
• Willing to work on the unit designated by the D.O.N., A.D.O.N, or Supervisor.
• Checks 24 hour report sheet for changes/updates in the patient care needs for the day.
• Makes walking rounds, supervision of the N.A. care delivered.
• Administers medication (including IV) and treatment per the Physician orders specific to the patient.
• Attempts to meet the needs of the patient in a spiritual or psychological manner with the resources available to the nurse.
• Assists and directs in the admission/discharge process of patients.
