Job summary

The Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Charge Nurse to plan, direct, and evaluate patient care on a designated shift. You will model professional nursing, advocate for patients, and promote a positive work environment as a lead clinician.

Requirements include a BSN, current Ohio RN license, and BLS. Two years of nursing experience is preferred. The role covers 30 hours per week (0.75 FTE) with Saturday and Sunday shifts and an additional shift every two weeks.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current Ohio Nursing License required.
• BLS required.
• 2 years nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of a shift and direct, organize, and assign work to staff.
• Ensure adequate supplies and equipment and optimal staff utilization.
• Serve as an EPIC Super User and trainer for staff.
• Assess, monitor, and support employees during the shift.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and support nursing leadership.
