Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a heart for service? Join The Sisters of Mercy in Belmont, NC, and care for our retired Sisters with dignity and compassion.

This non-exempt LPN role supports mission-driven nursing care across a team, including supervising CNAs and coordinating care with clinical leadership. You’ll administer medications, monitor patients, and ensure documentation is accurate while adhering to safety and infection-control protocols.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LPN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Experience supervising or delegating care to others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Implement individualized plans of care for the Sisters.
• Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and policies.
• Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and changes in condition.
• Supervise, delegate, and educate CNAs, NAs, and HHAs.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, meals).
• Follow safety, infection-control, and end-of-life care procedures.
• Coordinate and accompany Sisters to medical appointments and therapies.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to the Clinical Manager.
• Participate in staff orientation, training, and continuing education.
• Support activities and enrichment programming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Current, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Experience supervising or delegating care to others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in geriatric or dementia care.
• Experience in healthcare or residential care settings.
