Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license or equivalent (NLC/eNLC).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required for 1 year RN experience as an alternative.
• Master's or Doctorate in nursing/public health qualifies with 1+ year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as charge nurse, providing clinical leadership and unit coordination.
• Deliver direct patient care with comprehensive assessments and telemetry monitoring.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and post-hospital referrals.
• Precept nursing students and orient new staff, including equipment training.
• Document assessments and communicate during shift handoffs with accuracy.
• Monitor patient condition, adhere to infection control and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in staff development and quality improvement activities.
