Job Responsibilities

This position provides care to assigned residents in a caring, safe, and efficient manner and is responsible for performing the following tasks according to location standards, procedures, and individualized resident care plans:

  1. Completes comprehensive nursing assessments of all residents on admission and ongoing, following state and federal regulations, using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation).
  2. Demonstrates competence in clinical skills as per the Competency Verification and Training Checklist.
  3. Ensures residents receive ordered medications, treatments, and procedures within specified time frames, following infection control procedures.
  4. Familiar with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all administered medications.
  5. Obtains necessary equipment and supplies to provide care.
  6. Follows procedures for pressure ulcers, dehydration, malnutrition, incontinence, pain, and medication administration.
  7. Accurately performs glucometer testing and monitoring.
  8. Implements approaches to address resident behavior and enhances mood as per care plans.
  9. Reviews documentation and updates resident records to ensure care completion.
  10. Uses EMR systems accurately, documenting all actions, condition changes, admissions, discharges, transfers, and incidents.
  11. Completes behavior documentation and the seven-day observation tool.
  12. Participates in quality improvement activities, including audits and corrective actions.
  13. May complete portions of the MDS and sign forms to signify completion.
  14. Processes physician’s orders promptly and communicates with physicians as needed.
  15. Attends resident report and shares pertinent information.
  16. Responds promptly to call lights and assists residents as needed.
  17. Provides education to residents and families, including updates on condition changes.
  18. Reports and follows up on signs and symptoms of infections.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Prior related experience preferred. Maintains required certifications and licensure for practice in the state.

Knowledge of basic nursing skills and familiarity with medication effects and side effects.

Starting wages are $35/hr for RNs. As a PRN employee, you work a minimum of four shifts per month, offering flexibility and an essential role within our healthcare team. Apply today!
