Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for the Neuro unit. This full-time night shift, in-person role leads nursing care and supports a dedicated team.

As part of Lifepoint Health, you will provide direct patient care, supervise staff, and ensure safety and quality. RN licensure in KY or eligibility, BCLS, ACLS/PALS within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensure: Current RN to practice in Kentucky; new grads may work under KY provisional license for up to 6 months.
• Certifications: BCLS; ACLS & PALS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Supervises nursing and support staff during assigned shifts and ensures safe, quality care.
• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
• Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
• Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.
• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

What we're looking for

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• License: Current RN to practice in the state of (KY); *New Graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
• If an RN license is not earned within 6 months of employment, the provisional licensee must immediately cease practicing in a licensed nursing position.
• Certifications: BCLS; ACLS & PALS required within 6 months of hire
