Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a qualified Licensed Vocational Nurse to lead nursing care at our Lovington, NM facility. The role covers staffing, mentoring, and ensuring high-quality resident care on the night shift, with day shifts also available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LVN program and licensed in NM.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in skilled nursing preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily nursing functions per rules and guidelines.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents with care documentation.
• Mentor and educate nursing staff on shift; coordinate physician orders.
• Administer medications and ensure timely treatment per policy.
• Coordinate shifts and assignments for CNAs; manage overtime usage.
• Ensure MDS process accuracy and PCC usage per policy.
• Respond to incidents and document actions; engage in quality improvement.
