Qualifications

• Current RN license in Tennessee is required.
• BLS certification within orientation period; ACLS/PALS within one year.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial patient assessment and plans care for each patient.
• Documents care, monitors medical records, and coordinates with shifts.
• Provides bedside care, assists with procedures and treatments.
• Administers medications and supervises IV fluids and blood products.
• Notifies physician of patient status and supports rounds when indicated.
• Supervises nursing staff, assigns tasks by patient acuity and staff ability.
• Prioritizes physician orders and communicates with patients and families.
• Ensures patient discharge planning and collaboration with other disciplines.
• Maintains equipment checks and ensures safe waste disposal.
