Job summary

UT Health Pittsburg is seeking an evening shift, full-time Emergency Room Charge RN to join our trusted team in Pittsburg, TX. You will oversee charge-related patient care on a critical-access ER, coordinating with a multidisciplinary staff to deliver safe, high-quality nursing services.

Responsibilities include care coordination, supervision of staff, collaboration with physicians, and ensuring plan of care aligns with orders and protocols.

Qualifications

• Degree as a Registered Nurse from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Texas RN License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS required within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers care to a unit specific patient population utilizing a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to ensure that each patient receives nursing care appropriate to his/her illness or condition.
• Provides clinical supervision to the clinical, professional, and auxiliary staff to ensure the continuous delivery of quality patient care.
• Works cooperatively with appropriate medical staff to ensure accomplishment of hospital and departmental goals.
• Manages departmental activities in accordance with hospital and departmental policy and ensures that care is delivered consistent with physician’s orders and treatment protocols.
• Oversees the implementation of a plan of care appropriate to each patient’s needs.

Preferred Job Requirements
