Ellsworth County Medical Center is seeking a full-time, night shift Charge Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated inpatient and emergency team. The role of the Charge Nurse is to provide appropriate leadership to the Nursing department in support and promotion of Ellsworth County Medical Center’s mission, vision, and values. This role supports the Executive Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager in establishing specific goals, determining work procedures, expediting workflow, and communicating with and supervising appropriate personnel.

- Respiratory Therapy Support available Monday–Friday, 6 AM – 6 PM

Education
Completed degree from an accredited school of nursing required
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in acute care nursing required.
Preferred Skills
Demonstrated leadership and management experience preferred.
- Excellent skills in organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain diverse technical problems in easy-to-understand language.
- Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills
Certifications/Registrations
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas
ACLS and PALS current or within 90 days of hire, TNCC current or within 6 months of hire, Certificate or within 6 months of hire, CPR
