Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Charge Nurse (LVN or RN) for the PM shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm). The Charge Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing, delivering clinical nursing care and coordinating patient care using the nursing process.

You should excel at leadership, organization, and performing under pressure while maintaining patient-centered care and communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Licensed LVN or RN in good standing.
• Prior experience in a healthcare facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical records and monitor vital signs.
• Supervising nursing staff and monitoring their needs.
• Coordinating daily administrative duties, including schedules, nursing assignments, and patient care.
• Overseeing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Mentoring and training new staff and providing support and guidance to all staff members.
• Monitoring medical charts and providing compassionate care and assistance to patients and families.
• Liaising with doctors and administrators and communicating any protocol changes to staff.
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Recording and maintaining accurate reports.
• Identifying issues or emergencies and responding in a calm and efficient manner.

We are looking to hire a Full time/ part time/ PRN - Charge Nurse LVN/ RN (PM shift - 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm). You may be our next hire to join our team!

Position: The Charge Nurse is responsible to the Director of Nursing, and is to be clinically competent; delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
