Lancaster Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Charge Nurse (LVN or RN) to lead the nursing team and ensure high-quality resident care. You will supervise Nurse Aides, administer medications, and implement care plans in accordance with policies and physician orders.

The role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with shifts to maintain seamless care. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for professional growth and supportive

Qualifications

• RN or LVN in good standing

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: guide Nurse Aides to ensure resident care
• Administer medications per orders
• Implement care plans per policies and physician orders
• Perform treatments as required
• Transcribe physician orders accurately
• Document resident care and nursing assessments
• Collaborate during shift reports for continuity of care
• Educate staff on nursing policies and resident needs
• Maintain safety with infection control and body mechanics
• Address staffing needs by arranging replacements when needed

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse - LVN or RN

In this role, you will:

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.
• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
