Job summary

Granbury Care Center is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to lead resident care and support the health and well-being of our residents. This role requires reliability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to coordinate care teams in a busy facility.

You will supervise nurse aides, administer medications, implement care plans, perform treatments, transcribe orders, document care, participate in shift reports, educate staff on policies, and uphold safety and infection control

Qualifications

• Active RN or LVN license in good standing.
• Strong nursing assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead care teams and multitask in a clinical setting.
• Commitment to resident safety and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.
• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
