Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to join our care team. In this role you will direct care teams, administer medications, implement care plans, and document resident status while ensuring safety and compliance with policies.

You will collaborate across shifts, educate staff, and address staffing needs in a fast-paced environment. RN or LVN license in good standing is required; strong communication and meticulous documentation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: guide Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer Medications: safely administer medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans: execute resident care plans per policies and orders.
• Perform Treatments: deliver treatments to maintain health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: accurately transcribe physician orders promptly.
• Document Resident Care: maintain timely, accurate documentation in charts and assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: participate in shift reports for continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: train staff on nursing policies and procedures.
• Maintain Safety Standards: ensure infection control and body mechanics procedures.
• Address Staffing Needs: arrange replacements during shortages.

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN

In this role, you will:

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.

• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.

• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.

• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.

• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.

• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.

• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.

• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.

• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.

• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
