Qualifications

• RN or LVN in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Direct care guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer medications safely and per prescriptions.

• Deliver treatments as required.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately and promptly.
• Document resident care and nursing assessments in charts.
• Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.
• Educate staff on nursing policies and resident care needs.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Address staffing shortages by arranging for replacements as needed.

Your Impact as a Charge Nurse - LVN or RN

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.
• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
