At Avir at Alice, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge Nurse LVN or RN to join our team! As a Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and comfort in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Leadership Responsibilities: As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that the nursing unit is running smoothly and efficiently.
Patient-Centered Care: You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and providing direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families.
Team Collaboration: You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other support staff, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care and that the nursing unit is functioning effectively.
Supervise and Coordinate Nursing Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the nursing staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and feedback, and addressing any performance issues.
Assess Patient Needs: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Develop Individualized Care Plans: Develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
Provide Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and educating patients and families.
Monitor Patient Progress: Monitor patient progress, identifying any changes or concerns, and adjusting care plans as needed.
Education: LVN or RN degree from an accredited nursing program.
Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience as a Charge Nurse or similar role.
Certifications: Current LVN or RN license in the state of Texas.
