Job summary

Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Vernon, Connecticut, is seeking a Charge Nurse (LPN or RN) to lead nursing care on the unit from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., part-time schedule.

You will work with a medical director and nursing leadership to provide high-quality patient care. The role requires CT LPN or RN licensure, strong communication and leadership, ability to delegate, prioritize tasks, and oversee CNAs and LPNs.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN licensure in Connecticut
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients with diverse needs and requirements
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently
• Delegate tasks to LPNs and CNAs, providing guidance and support
• Monitor and report on patient progress, identifying areas for improvement
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
