Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking an RN to provide safe, competent nursing care in a busy hospital environment, offering professional leadership to the healthcare team and upholding Service Excellence standards.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Nevada RN license, BLS, and possibly PALS/NRP as required by the department. Pre-employment assessments may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• Experience: One-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• License/Certification: Current RN license in Nevada. Current BLS Certification, Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Other: Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
