Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Inc. in Georgia is seeking a seasoned Registered Nurse to join the Labor and Delivery team.

You will coordinate the delivery of high‑quality maternity care across the birth-to-life cycle and collaborate with physicians and support staff to ensure safe, patient‑centered outcomes. The role requires GA RN licensure, BCLS, ACLS, and experience in hospital settings, with Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• RN – GA licensure required; BCLS & ACLS required.
• 1 year hospital nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• NRP by orientation period required.
• PALS if unit cares for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates delivery of quality nursing care from birth through the lifecycle.
• Provides clinical care as needed to cover census demands.
• Communicates care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leadership.
• Acts as a resource for guidance and assistance to staff.

Responsibilities

Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
• 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Preferred
• Previous Labor and Delivery Experience Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
• ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) Required
• NRP by the end of orientation period (Women’s Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery) Required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year Required
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services) Required
