Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery to provide coordinated care from birth through postpartum, with emphasis on safety and patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities include coordinating nursing care, communicating with the team and leaders, and serving as a resource. The role requires Georgia RN licensure and ACLS/PALS certifications, with orientation period expectations.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia and/or multi-state licensure required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• NRP by orientation period required.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date required.
• PEARS certification required.
• PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
