Job summary

USA Health in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide family-centered care on the unit, act as charge nurse when assigned, and supervise licensed and non-licensed staff according to policy.

You will administer medications, perform CPR per AHA standards, document care in the HIS, and participate in committee and Performance Improvement activities while upholding infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• RN license in Alabama or Compact State Licensure required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.

Responsibilities

• Practices family-centered nursing per policies and Nurse Practice Act.
• Supervises, plans, evaluates and coordinates patient care with staff.
• Administers medications, including controlled substances, and blood products.
• Performs nursing assessments, plans care, and documents in HIS.
• Demonstrates CPR according to AHA standards and responds to emergencies.
• Maintains infection control, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
• Acts as preceptor for new employees and nursing students.
• Communicates with physicians, patients and families, and coordinates care.
