The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction seeks a Charge Nurse (S) to provide floating staffing across Bertie, Craven, Hyde, Pasquotank, Roanoke River, and Tyrrell prison facilities. The Float Nurse provides professional nursing in care, treatment, observation, and counsel of offenders in accordance with standard nursing practice and orders.
Licensed RN in NC with at least 1 year of nursing experience is required.

Salary Range: $62,044 - $102,371
This is a Charge/Float Registered Nurse position and will primarily provide staffing coverage based on the need throughout Bertie, Craven, Hyde Pasquotank, Roanoke River, and Tyrrell Prison Work Farm facilities. The Float Nurse provides professional nursing in the care, treatment, observation, and counsel of offenders in accordance with standard nursing practice and theory, agency regulations, physicians’ orders, and instructions from higher-level nursing staff.
This is a floating position and will provide staffing coverage based on the need throughout facilities.
