Ideal candidates hold a BSN with Kansas RN licensure and have 2+ years in acute care, with preferred supervisory and infant-care experience to support department goals and patient throughput.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN preferred) with KS RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years in a related clinical field in acute care.
  • Supervisor experience preferred; infant experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, safety, and regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise RNs, LPNs and PCTs in Birthplace and manage scheduling and daily assignments.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team, rounds and staffing related to patient care.
  • Evaluate staff performance, provide coaching and mentorship.
  • Oversee documentation and ensure regulatory compliance and safety.

Their responsibilities primarily focus on managing the operational aspects of the departments including: Scheduling; daily assignments; communications with staff; collaboration with the interdisciplinary team including but not limited to daily multi-disciplinary rounds, collaboration with other maternal/child departments related to staffing and patient care management; employee evaluation; employee performance; and oversight of documentation. In addition, this position is the primary contact to whom providers may bring issues regarding the registered nurses within the department. This position supports department service and hospital standards. They have to maintain competency on assessing and managing the patients within their department to be able to assist staff as needed.Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN) PreferredHigh School Diploma / GED required in birthplace per CMS/CLIA requirements RequiredExperience Qualifications2 years Current experience in related clinical field in acute care facility.
