Qualifications

• Current LVN license required.
• CPR certification required; 30 days to complete course and get certified.
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English.
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
• Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with nursing standards and directives from the Director of Nursing.
• Lead or direct licensed and non-professional staff in delivering direct resident care and support functions.
• Plan, organize, and direct nursing functions of patients in the unit.
• Make nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of staff.
• Maintain acceptable standards of patient care.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Support infection-control policies and procedures.
• Use system to convey/receive resident information.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Cooperate with nursing staff, medical staff and other departments.
