Job summary

Friend Health in Chicago is seeking an LPN – Charge / Desktop Nurse for a 100% onsite leadership role. You will oversee daily clinic workflow, supervise Medical Assistants, manage telephone triage and EHR task queues, and coordinate care to ensure efficient patient flow and adherence to policy.

The role requires 2–5 years of outpatient nursing experience, strong leadership, and Epic EHR familiarity. Salary range is $68,000–$70,000 with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a state-approved nursing program with pharmacology course.
• 2–5 years of clinical experience, outpatient preferred.
• Charge nurse or workflow leadership experience preferred.
• Telephone triage experience strongly preferred.
• Epic EHR experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead workflow and provide staff direction.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong documentation accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinic workflow as Charge Nurse and supervise Lead Medical Assistants and Medical Assistants.
• Manage telephone triage, EHR task queues, and care coordination activities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and high standards of patient-centered care.
• Lead staff meetings, training, and onboarding of new or temporary employees.
