Job Description

The CDM Specialist functions as a senior-level role, responsible for the maintenance, integrity, and compliance of the organization s Charge description Master (CDM). This role ensures accurate charge capture, compliant coding and billing, and alignment with CMS regulations, payer requirements, and HFMA best practices. The CDM Specialist collaborates with clinical, revenue cycle, finance, compliance, and IT teams to mitigate revenue risk and support accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications

Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of charge master maintenance, clinical processes, clinical coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, revenue codes and modifiers), charging processes and audits, and clinical billing as normally obtained through a bachelor s degree in health information management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree. 2 5 years of experience in CDM maintenance, revenue integrity, coding, billing, or related revenue cycle function. RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC or other coding credentials strongly preferred. HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) certifications are preferred.
