WakeMed is seeking a Charge Capture Analyst to enhance revenue cycle metrics through analytics, audits, and system improvements. You will maintain Chargemaster files, review CPT and CMS updates, and collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Finance, and clinical teams to ensure accurate revenue capture.
The role emphasizes modeling, testing, and reporting to prevent billing errors and improve processes. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in accounting/finance with coding or 2+ years in accounting/finance
The Charge Capture Analyst is responsible for the analytics to identify opportunities, problem resolutions, process improvements, and system changes to enhance revenue cycle metrics. Maintains revenue integrity of Chargemaster files, fee schedules, and charge capture through annual updates, periodic audits, and ongoing reviews. Serves as a resource in developing and documenting routine custom billing system tests, builds, and enhancements that will improve maintenance and/or prevent billing errors. Reviews Current Procedural Terminology coding and CMS updates, and disseminates information to the clinical departments and other appropriate staff. Works with Revenue Cycle, Finance, and clinical departments to analyze coding and billing processes to ensure accurate and optimal revenue capture by developing trending, modeling, and other assessment tools. Works with coding personnel to ensure the codes in the Chargemaster are accurate and current. Works with clinical departments to ensure proper revenue reconciliation.
