Job summary

The Chaplain/Spiritual Counselor at Sholom Community Alliance in Saint Paul, MN, is a part-time position (24+ hours weekly) focused on providing spiritual care, facilitating religious services, and offering emotional support to patients, families, and staff.

Requirements include seminary education and ordination as Rabbi or Cantor, plus 2+ years of related experience. The role includes education sessions and in-service presentations within our aging-services setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology (Bachelor’s in Divinity, Master’s of Divinity or equivalent theological degree).
• Must be ordained as a Rabbi or Cantor.
• Two or more years’ related experience preferred.
• Work experience in aging services preferred.
• Hospice Only: Work experience in hospice or home health preferred.

SUMMARY:

The Chaplain/Spiritual Counselor, facilitates and leads Religious services and programs, provides spiritual and emotional care to patients, families and staff members, and leads educational seminars and in-service sessions.
