Lighthouse Hospice is GROWING! We are looking for a Full-Time Chaplain to provide spiritual care in and around Mercer County to Cumberland County. If you are seeking a purpose-driven career with a supportive team, this is the role for you!

As a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), our Chaplains provide spiritual counseling and emotional support to active and bereaved patients and/or families. They are committed to the hospice philosophy, goals, and objectives, implementing and coordinating all activities related to the spiritual aspect of the hospice program in accordance with agency policies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assessing the spiritual status of patients and families related to terminal illness and environment, and communicating findings to the RN Case Manager and IDT.
2. Providing direct spiritual care for all faiths/non-faiths as requested.
3. Maintaining communication with the Program Director to review client needs and manage spiritual care.
4. Coordinating with hospice staff and other facilities to ensure optimal care.
5. Documenting clinical records accurately and timely in electronic records.
6. Meeting educational and certification requirements, including seminary or theology degree, and clinical pastoral education units.
7. Having relevant experience as a healthcare chaplain, with hospice experience preferred.
8. Handling stress associated with ministering to patients experiencing pain, suffering, death, and grief.
9. Being proficient in computer skills and EMR systems.
10. Maintaining current CPR certification if required by state.

Compensation: $31.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on experience and responsibilities. Final offer to be discussed during the interview process.
